ACTION - Stop the Cuts to the CRB

Please join the Day of Action on Saturday, July 10 to oppose the cut to the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB). We are meeting on the south-east corner of Spadina and Bloor.

The federal budget proposes to cut the Canada Recovery Benefit (CRB) by $800 per month. That’s a staggering 40% cut to vital income support that nearly one million workers depend on. At $500 per week before taxes, the CRB fails to provide even with the equivalent of minimum wage. A 40% cut will be a catastrophe for workers and the economy. It will also be women and low wage, racialized workers in precarious employment that are hardest hit.  


It’s not too late to stop this cut! Please take a moment to call your Member of Parliament, Justin Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland and say no to a 40% cut in our weekly income support.
