Join us on Monday, November 18th as we take our movement into the streets to talk to health workers and passersby about paid sick days this flu season. We’ll be at the Southwest corner of College St and University ave from 12pm to 1:30pm, handing out information and asking people to sign a pledge in support of decent work as a key health issue this flu season. RSVP on Facebook.
As Health Minister Christine Elliott kicks off this year’s flu shot campaign amid hospital overcrowding and predictions of a severe flu season, we want her to know that fair labour law is an essential part of keeping Ontarians healthy.

Last year, Elliott’s government took away paid sick days and brought back sick note requirements. That means we can expect a more severe flu season and increased strains on our emergency health care system.
The flu shot is an important step, but it isn’t enough. This flu season, we know that in order to stay healthy, we need the Ontario government to bring back our paid sick days and scrap required sick note. If you agree, meet us in the streets and help us grow the movement.
