As health workers, we know that labour is a social determinant of health.

This May 1, International Workers' Day, we will join forces with unions and labour advocates and rally for decent work. May 1, or May Day, is the traditional workers’ holiday, a day that working people celebrate the gains they have won over the years and commit to fighting for a better future for everyone.

Join us as at Grange Park (south of Dundas Street West and Beverly Street, behind OCAD U) at 11:30am for a celebration as we kick off our march. We will make a stop at Gerrard and University in front of SickKids hospital to demand better for our patients and families.

We'll be joining in with 12+ feeder marches and congregating at Queen’s Park by the time the rally starts at 2:00 PM.

Please wear attire that identifies you as a health worker and we will bring a lanyard for you that identifies you as a member of the Decent Work and Health Network.

It’s time for a $20 minimum wage, decent work, affordable housing, paid sick days, well-funded public services, livable income support for all, climate justice, status for all, and an end to racism and oppression. Join us!

Will you come?
