If the last few years have taught us anything, it’s that despite health workers being called heroes on the frontlines of the pandemic, the Ontario government does NOT have their backs.
While health workers repeatedly presented evidence-based solutions, this government chose to deny workers paid sick days over 27 times. This same government capped wages and continue to drive nurses and PSWs out of a profession they dearly love. And just a few weeks ago, this government cut access to healthcare for uninsured patients - which will lead to more complex illnesses in our communities and overcrowding of ER departments.
After manufacturing this crisis in our public healthcare system, the provincial government has given the green light to private investors and temp agencies to make even more profit off of healthcare.

Then join health workers across the country to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

In order for this government to listen to health workers and do the right thing - we need our health contingent to be as big as possible. That means, calling on our networks to take action on June 3.
The provincial day of action is an opportunity for us to talk to our coworkers about decent work issues such as lack of paid sick days, low wages, understaffing, and burnout. Use this outreach toolkit to initiate a conversation and sign people up to attend the rally in your community.
