More and more workers are fighting for decent work and healthier communities.

Health workers at Regent Park Community Health Centre are on strike today for improved pay and benefits that will allow them to provide  better care and services to the community.

Nurses, PSWs, and guest attendants in for-profit long-term care are gearing up for a fight against Extendicare, a corporation that has profited off of precarious, low-paid work at the expense of unsafe homes for our loved ones.

Meanwhile, LCBO workers are demanding a fair contract that would keep Ontario’s publicly-owned liquor stores public so that the revenues can continue to fund public services like education and healthcare.

At the next in-person Justice for Workers meeting, we will hear from some of the workers who are leading these struggles.

The Decent Work and Health Network is inviting health workers to attend to discuss current worker organizing within healthcare and across sectors, and how health workers can link all worker struggles with the fight for healthier and more just communities.
